Nestled in the heart of beautiful Palisade, Lola’s Peaches is a family-owned orchard built on generations of hard work, tradition, and a passion for growing some of Colorado’s finest peaches.
Our story began in 1971, when Mark Metzger purchased the orchard, laying the foundation for what would become a true family legacy. Today, that legacy continues through his son David, and Belma, as the family proudly carries on decades of farming knowledge and a commitment to producing exceptional fruit.
Located in the highly sought-after Vineland area near De Beque Canyon, our orchard benefits from an ideal growing environment. Morning canyon winds help reduce the risk of freezing, while rich soils, pristine canal water, cool nights, and warm summer days create the perfect conditions for producing peaches known for their incredible sweetness, flavor, and texture.
In 2019, the farm was proudly renamed Lola’s Peaches, honoring Belma, who has dedicated nearly 25 years of hard work and love to farming this land.
What makes our farm even more special is our story. Belma, a proud Latina farmer and integral part of the family operation, helps make Lola’s Peaches one of the few Latino family-owned orchards in the Palisade farming community. We are proud to represent the hardworking families and diverse traditions that continue shaping Colorado agriculture.
We grow multiple premium peach varieties across a 45-day harvest season, carefully picking every peach at peak ripeness and delivering the quality families have trusted for generations.
